Delving into the Realm of Well-being:
There are various factors that impact an individual's overall well-being.
Obesity presents significant health hazards, which include:
Cardiovascular Diseases: Heightened risk of heart disease, high blood pressure, and stroke.
Diabetes: Increased incidence of type 2 diabetes associated with obesity.
Respiratory Problems: Disorders like sleep apnea and asthma are more prevalent.
Mental Health: Obesity can result in decreased self-confidence, feelings of sadness, and anxiety.

Cardiovascular disease
Obesity is strongly associated with an increased risk of cardiovascular diseases, including heart disease, hypertension, and stroke. Excess body fat, particularly around the abdomen, contributes to these conditions by raising blood pressure and cholesterol levels, and increasing the likelihood of developing atherosclerosis (Lavie, Milani, & Ventura, 2009).
Diabetes
The commonness of type 2 diabetes is notably high among individuals with obesity. Excess body weight affects insulin sensitivity, leading to insulin resistance and subsequently, type 2 diabetes (Zabetian et al., 2013).
Respiratory issues
Obesity is linked to various respiratory problems such as sleep apnea and asthma. Excess fat in the chest wall and abdomen can restrict lung expansion, leading to breathing difficulties (Lugogo, Kraft, & Dixon, 2010).
Mental Health
Obesity can significantly impact mental health, leading to low self-esteem, depression, and anxiety. The social stigma associated with obesity can aggravate these issues, creating a vicious cycle of poor mental health and weight gain (Simon et al., 2006).
